From the Brink of Death: A Testimony of Survival and Faith

My name is Samir Haddad, and I am a survivor.

I was once a civil engineer, living a peaceful life in the Nineveh Plains of Iraq.

But that life was shattered when ISIS came.

They ambushed my supply route near Mosul, dragging me into a nightmare I never thought I would endure.

I remember the day vividly.

It was just another day of delivering aid to those in need.

But suddenly, everything changed.

Gunfire erupted around me.

I was captured, thrown into the darkness of an underground dungeon.

For 17 days, I was subjected to brutal torture and starvation.

Each day felt like an eternity.

I was constantly reminded of my impending death.

The militants were merciless, and I was just a pawn in their twisted game.

But I held on to hope.

I prayed fervently, calling out to God for strength and deliverance.

I knew I had to survive.

On the morning of my execution, the reality of my situation hit me like a freight train.

I was forced into an orange jumpsuit, a symbol of my fate.

I was led to a desolate location, cameras rolling, the world watching.

As the militants prepared to execute me, I felt a strange sense of peace wash over me.

I knew I was not alone.

In that moment, I could feel the presence of angels surrounding me, their wings shielding me from harm.

Then, without warning, they shot me—27 times.

The bullets tore through my body, and I collapsed to the ground.

I should have died.

But instead, I stood up.

I was alive.

The militants were frozen in shock, their eyes wide with terror.

They dropped their weapons, trembling at the sight of what they could not comprehend.

I had experienced a miracle.

The angels of fire had protected me, and I was standing in defiance of death.

In that moment, I realized that God had a purpose for my life.

What followed was even more astonishing.

The commander who ordered my execution, a hardened militant, began to experience visions of Jesus.

He saw the light of Christ and felt a pull towards the truth.

In a twist of fate, he surrendered his life to Christ.

This man, who had once sought my death, became instrumental in my escape.

He secretly helped me navigate through Kurdish checkpoints, risking his life to ensure my freedom.

It was a surreal turn of events, one that seemed impossible.

But God was at work, transforming hearts and changing lives.

As I made my way to safety, I couldn’t help but reflect on the journey that had brought me to this point.

I had witnessed the darkest sides of humanity, yet I had also seen the light of God shine through.

I had been tortured, but I had also experienced divine intervention.

I had faced death, but I had been given a second chance at life.

Today, I stand here as a testament to the power of faith.

I share my story not just for myself, but for those who are struggling, for those who are fearful, and for those who doubt the existence of miracles.

My experience is proof that God is real, that He sees our suffering, and that He is capable of saving us from the depths of despair.

I want to reach out to Christians who need renewed faith in God’s power.

I want to speak to Muslims searching for truth and hope beyond fear.

And I want to challenge skeptics who doubt miracles and divine encounters.

My message is simple: Jesus Christ is alive, and He is calling you too.

He is not just a figure in history; He is a living presence, ready to transform your life.

I urge everyone to stand firm in their faith.

Do not compromise your beliefs.

Eternity is real, and the choices we make in this life matter.

Stand for Jesus now, because tomorrow may be too late.

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude.

Gratitude for the angels who surrounded me, for the commander who risked everything to help me, and for the faith that sustained me through the darkest hours.

I have met many former militants who once persecuted Christians, and now they risk their lives to spread the Gospel.

God can turn the darkest hearts into vessels of light.

It is a beautiful reminder that no one is beyond redemption.

I have learned that faith is not simply about believing in something; it is about experiencing the transformative power of God in our lives.

It is about trusting Him, even when the situation seems hopeless.

I want to encourage anyone facing persecution or spiritual warfare.

You are not alone.

God is with you, fighting your battles.

He hears your cries and sees your struggles.

Hold on to hope, for deliverance is coming.

As I share my testimony, I hope to inspire others to find the courage to stand firm in their faith.

Let my story be a beacon of light in the darkness.

Let it remind you that miracles do happen, even in the most dire circumstances.

I stand here today, not just as a survivor, but as a messenger of hope.

I have seen the depths of despair, but I have also witnessed the power of God to save and transform.

I am living proof that bullets could not kill me, that angels stood beside me, and that Jesus Christ is alive.

He is calling you too.

Will you answer?

This is not just my story; it is a story of faith, love, and the unyielding power of God.

Let it inspire you to seek the truth, to embrace the light, and to stand firm in your beliefs.

For in the end, it is our faith that will carry us through the storms of life.

Let us not forget the power of God to change lives, to heal wounds, and to bring hope where there is none.

Together, we can spread the message of love and redemption to a world that desperately needs it.

Join me in this journey of faith.

Let us stand together, united in our belief in a God who saves.

For He is alive, and He is calling each of us to a life of purpose and hope.
