A Journey Beyond: My Encounter with Jesus

thumbnail
I stood in front of my family, the words flowing from my lips like venom.

I was reading the Bible aloud, mocking the very essence of Christianity.

As an imam, I thought I knew everything.

I had memorized the Quran, led prayers for over 300 worshippers every Friday.

But that day, something changed.

My heart suddenly stopped.

In an instant, I was gone.

Clinically dead for seven minutes.

In that darkness, I encountered a light so brilliant it pierced through my soul.

I found myself face-to-face with Jesus Christ.

His presence was overwhelming.

I could see the nail-scarred hands, the love radiating from Him.

It was a love I had never known.

In those moments, He spoke to me.

He shared messages for my wife and children—specific, personal messages that I could never have known.

It was as if time stood still.

I felt a profound sense of peace, a certainty that all my doubts and fears had vanished.

When I returned to my body, everything had changed.

I was no longer the man who mocked Jesus.

I was transformed.

But with this transformation came immense cost.

I lost my position as an imam.

I lost my income, my reputation, and the respect of my community.

My family faced rejection from relatives who could not understand my faith.

Yet, despite the pain, I felt a joy I had never experienced before.

Jesus gave me something Islam never could—absolute certainty of salvation and unconditional love.

I began to share my testimony with others, urging Muslims to seek the truth.

“Jesus is not just a prophet,” I would say.

“He is the Son of God.

I saw the nail scars.

He died for you.

The Quran is wrong about the crucifixion.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to discover the truth.”

My words were met with skepticism, fear, and sometimes anger.

But I pressed on.

I knew the truth I had encountered was worth the risk.

In secret, my family and I became underground believers in Morocco.

We started house churches, leading other Muslims to Christ despite the threats looming over us.

Every meeting was fraught with danger, but also filled with hope.

We prayed for boldness and love to reach those still in darkness.

“Pray for Muslims,” I urged Christians.

“Reach out with bold love.

Share the Gospel clearly.

Jesus is moving powerfully across North Africa and the Middle East right now.

Be part of what He’s doing.”

I felt an urgency in my heart.

Time was running out for so many.

Every day, I met people questioning their faith, searching for truth.

I could see the doubt in their eyes, the longing for something more.

I shared my story, my encounter with Jesus, hoping it would spark a flame in their hearts.

I wanted them to know that there is a God who loves them unconditionally.

A God who waits for them to come home.

As I reflect on my journey, I realize how far I have come.

From a man who mocked Jesus to a man transformed by His love.

The scars of my past still linger, but they remind me of the grace I have received.

I am not alone in this fight.

I have my family by my side, and together, we stand firm in our faith.

We are part of a larger movement, a revival sweeping through North Africa.

Every soul we touch brings us closer to our mission.

Every story shared is a step toward freedom.

I urge you, dear reader, to consider your own beliefs.

What do you truly believe?

Are you willing to seek the truth, no matter the cost?

Jesus is alive, and He is waiting for you.

He is ready to embrace you with open arms, just as He did for me.

Do not let fear hold you back.

Take that step of faith.

You may find a love that changes everything.

As I continue this journey, I carry the weight of responsibility.

I must share this message of hope with those who are lost.

I must be a voice for the voiceless, a light in the darkness.

Together, we can make a difference.

Together, we can change lives.

Let my story be a testament to the power of faith and transformation.

And let it inspire you to seek the truth that can set you free.

In the end, it’s about love.

Love that knows no bounds.

Love that transcends all understanding.

This is the journey I am on, and I invite you to join me.

For in this journey, we find purpose, hope, and the promise of eternal life.

Together, we can illuminate the path for those still searching.

Together, we can change the world.

Let us embrace this calling with open hearts and unwavering faith.

This is my story.

This is my testimony.

And it is just the beginning.
